Definition (What is a plugin)

»' Plug-in '(engl.Plug into "plug, connect", as "expansion module") is a common name for a computer program that is in another software package. It complements the software, not just an add-on but an independent software kit.

In connection with Eqdkp Plus, this is a program that the DKP system adds new features.

Copyright / adjustments to the plugin source code

The plug-ins themselves are mostly under the GNU GPL. That means that everyone has access to the source code, anyone can redistribute the plugins and anyone can make changes to it which he likes. All this under one condition: derivative works, modifications, etc. must also be released under the GNU GPL to be published.

In contrast, the EQDKP itself is (c) Copyrighted by EQdkp Project Team. EQDKP-Plus as a whole is (c) Copyrighted by Corgan and EQdkp-Plus Project Team.
